Christmas Cards

Hi All, It's been a while since I have posted anything. Like everyone else, I just have too many irons in the fire. Anyways, thought I would take a moment to post a couple of Christmas Cards that I made this year. I had made several in different designs but mailed them before I scanned them. LOL I hope you enjoy these. I threw these together using up some scraps of paper that I had on hand. My favorite stamp-set for this Christmas is called The Sounding Joy. It's Fishing Time Here!

Gosh, It has been so long since I have posted anything. But we took the boat out to the YMCA and road about the lake and fished. We had a really good, relaxing time, and wanted to share these beautiful pictures that God has painted for us to enjoy.

Hi everyone. Wishing you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR. I have fallen way behind in everything, like scrapbooking, card making, creativity, genealogy research, and scrappin'. I was going to make a New Years Resolution that I would get really involved again, but I usually can't stick to my resolutions, so I decided not to make one at all!! LOL We'll see how that goes.
But anyway, I wanted to share that on Christmas Eve, Dennis took me out on the 4-wheeler to take some pictures of the snow scenes around our property. It was simply beautiful and the first white Christmas we've had in a long time.
I am thinking some of these photos might make some pretty Christmas Cards next year.

WOW! I didn't realize that it had been so long since I'd been on the blog. Shame on me!!! Time just gets away from me. I tell ya, this world is just moving to fast for people to be able to keep up. Anyways, enough babbling....I got my inspiration for these cards from another CTMH consultant. Please forgive me because I don't remember the name, but when I seen it, I Loved, Loved, loved it. Actually that was just about 4 days ago. But today I kept thinking about that card and decided to put myself at the desk to make one. Ended up with 4. Wow; I deserve a starbucks!! LOL. Here are the photos of my take on this card that originally came from the Wishes book (which is great, I might add). I believe My Inspirer noted from the Just Because section. WELCOME OUR NEWEST LITTLE ADDITION--DYLAN

Our little miracle arrived on 4-26-2010. He weighed in at a whoppin' 8lbs. 2oz. His name is Dylan and he is such an adorable little guy. Dylan is the 7th Grandchild that we have been blessed with. (SIX WITH FEET; ONE WITH WINGS)

Tanner gets Student of the Week

Tanner's picture was in the local paper this last week for being awarded one of the Students of the Week at his school. I am so, so PROUD of him. He is doing very well in school. Of course, I am not prejudice, But.....I have highly intelligent Grandchildren. Anyways, I scrapbooked the event today. The school colors are purple and gold. Let me know what ya think!!!!!!!

Altered Notebooks

This is a photo of a Prayer Journal and Notepad with a matching ink pen that I just finished today. All of the products used are from CTMH. I used a paper pack called More To Adore, Cocoa Ink Pad (Z2114), Giggle Lowercase Stampset (D1137), He Is Risen Stampset (B1326) and Natural Twill Ribbon (Z1099).
I kindda like the way it turned out. Originally I was making it for myself, but decided to give it to my daughter, Wendy, who is very active her Church in Georgia. She'll be home to visit in a few weeks and I can't wait to see her, Jim and Nathan. We only get to see them about once a year and enjoy of minute of our visit.

Bella has her first sleep-over

Dennis and I love to take a vacation one week out of the summer and spend the whole week with our grankids. Although the weather is so hot, we have still had a great week so far. Monday was pedicure day for myself, Kaylee and Marcee,and they got their very first STARBUCKS!! {coffee free, of course} while Tanner hung out around the farm with PaPa. Tuesday was Mall Day for the girls, and the boys went to Bass Pro. Wednesday was lay around the house day. We rested, played WII, played on Farmtown and just whatever. Today, we all went together to the cinema to see Ice Age 3 in 3D. It was great. The kids were sooooooo goooooood!! They loved it. You really must see this movie in 3D. You'd love it. It's amazing what they can do with a movie.

IN MEMORY LAYOUT

I just finished this layout for a RAK Project. I will be sending it to a fellow CTMH Consultant in Ohio. The family had suffered a tragic loss, and she is putting together a scrapbook in memory of a 2 year old little boy. I used the pattern of Sidebar-original from the book, Reflections. [great book] The velum is from my stash, everything else is Close To My Heart product.

Her name is Izabella Joanne Herrington. She is our newest grand-daughter. Just look at that head of hair. "Bella" was born June 9 and checked in at 8 lbs. 2 oz. and 20 inches long. She is just beautiful. Now we are NaNa and PaPa to 3 beautiful girls and 2 very handsome boys. And of course, None of them are spoiled !!! LOL !!!

Altered Sticky Note Pads

I made these sticky note holders to use up some scraps and also to serve as little gifts. I think they wil be handy to carry in a purse. After all, Ya never know when you're going to need to leave a little note somewhere.

Fishing is Relaxing

Just went fishing today. The lake is beautiful and peaceful. Dennis and I came home with only 4 fish though out of about 15. Most were thrown back in because they were little guys. We both came home with SunBurn also. OUCH !!! But, all in all, we had a very nice relaxing day away.

Basket donated to RELAY FOR LIFE Auction

I put together this basket to donate to the Relay For Life team in our area. The fund raising auction and dance was held on May 16. I am anxious to see to won the basket with the $50.00 Gift Certificate. It also contained the Summer Idea Book, an altered tablet and pen, and an altered frap bottle filled with tootsie rolls.
